Peggie, the “Mom” of MomCat has more than 30 years of experience and is the lead sewer/quilter. The other two “cats” are Peggie's younger sister, Susan (Suz), and Peggie's daughter, Melissa.

Peggie retired in 2002 from Verizon, allowing her to concentrate on her passion for quilting and sewing. In 2010, a happenstance conversation with a store owner in Rockport, MA led to the creation of MomCat Quilts. 

 

Over the years our passion for all things handmade has expanded in leaps and bounds. To accommodate our growing interests, in 2018 we decided to re-brand as Momcat Handmade. While quilting and sewing remain our passion, we have all branched out. Peggie and Suz enjoy rug braiding and working with wool,

while Melissa makes coasters and has recently purchased a Cricut Maker where she has found a whole new world of DIY to explore.
